I arrived in Soldotna / Kasilof to fish the Kenai and an ongoing infection and bursitis developed in my left elbow. I photographed it and sent it to my wife. At her urging, i sought out medical help... stopping first at Soldotna Walgreens (not open till 8 am) then Fred Meyers Pharmacy, not open till 10 am... finally from the Customer Care Center at Freddies, I was directed to Kenai MediCenter, where I was promptly seen and treated... After two trips to Kenai I got an apoontment and was charged $190.00 for a doctor to spend 5 minutes asking me what my symptoms were to write a prescription for conjestion and sinus infection. Waited another 2 1/2 hours then went to chosen pharmacy to pick up prescription only they hadn't recieved anything from medi-cemter.....here I stand, waiting and waiting at the pharmacy. I guess that spending 2/3rds of your day and $190.00 for a 5 minute dr visit doesnt include prompt transfer of your presctiption....what a racket they... read more
I could easily change many things in my life... but NOT my doctors office, NOT this doctors office, easily the best in the region! I have never experienced such a high level of willingness by a doctors office to accommodate their patients, and I for one am tremendously appreciative especially due to the fact that I work remote and have a most difficult schedule. All I can say is if you're looking for a new physician in this area... there honestly is no reason to look any further! Thanks for everything MediCenter!
