UPDATE: this provider (who is in-network with my health insurance) sent my labs to an out-of-network lab without my consent and are continuing to bill me for it. I asked them if the lab was in network and they reassured me it was. This is illegal, as California protects consumers from surprise medical bills. Hopefully will be able to update this if it is resolved. Do NOT use this doctor or his shady office. Was prescribed an antibiotic by Dr. Amara that failed to treat my symptoms, which persisted. Was prescribed an antibiotic by Dr. Amara that failed to treat my symptoms, which persisted. When I asked the front desk if I could get prescribed the stronger antibiotic (which IS industry standard) and told them I was out of state, I was told I would have to come in again to their CA office “in case it was something else” by the extremely rude front desk girl. Arrogant, no self awareness and absolutley terrible bedside manner, my fiance went to him and he performed a hysterectomy didnt check on her till day 3 (supposed to be released next day) she died at the hospital a week later and all he did was try to distance himself. smug prick who didnt aknowledge my presence in the pre op appointment then tried to lie to the family about info and forgot i was present at said appointment. shame on you for your behavior before during and after. 49 years old she was, stear clear of me creep.

I had a very difficult natural induction birth that lasted 33 hours. Dr Amara was amazing. I feel if I hadn’t had him deliver my baby I would have for sure had to get a c-section. His depth of experience is unmatched and he is an expert at the lost art of forcep birthing (should you have a big headed baby like I did) that allowed me to safely deliver vaginally. Hands down better than UCSF and other OB’s I met with in SF. THANK YOU DOCTOR!
