How is this not a scam? You pay your Community East hospital bill then you get billed separately from this company? This company also offers ZERO financial assistance (unlike community east). On top of that, some of their staff is rude. I had talked to a person named Sue who was actually helpful - thank you Sue for at least being friendly. I am updating my review to represent the continued fraud of Medical Associates. From what I can see, Medical Associates has an address on the Community Hospital East campus and is a vehicle of Balanced and Provider Based Billing. There seems to be no financial assistance program for those who cannot afford their bill and a $25 a month fee if a bill remains unpaid. This company replies to about 1 out of every 5 messages you try to communicate to them. It's a giant scam to be charged more bills for the ER after I already paid through the Community Health Network. Additionally, they may have hurt my credit because they said they would take the re-bill fee off my bill yet never changed it after I contacted them multiple times and then sent my bill to a collections agency!

Got billed twice the same like every one. Plus the customer service do not have the skills to talk and answering questions. She was rude and she do not understand what I was saying.

Charging an additional second bill for an ER visit I'm already paying for. Where all I did was raise legs and arms, point to a finger, and raise my eyebrows and got told I have bells palsy and not a stroke for my half paralyzed face. A bit more than ridiculous to charge an extra $450 more for that.
