MedData seems to pose as a helping agency that helps people find affordable insurance. It is no such thing. It is a business that makes money by discouraging people who qualify for health care at reduced charges or no charge from pursuing it. a person who calls MedData will be put on hold indefinitely, for example. Eventually they give up on obtaining health care and, if their condition is serious, they die. Med Data obviously has only one purpose: to discourage uninsured people from seeking medical care and enable companies like Sanford to pretend to cover them and possibly receive some compensation from the government while really making the process so difficult - I would say impossible - that people give up seeking medical care at all. I recently received a letter in the mail stating I was part of a MedData breach. The letter states that about two years ago, one of their employees stole files from their office, posted the files online, and about a year later a journalist found the breached data and alerted them to the problem. I am flabbergasted that MedData didn't take the proper precautions to make sure personal data, including medical information, left their office. There is no excuse for it. I was advised that this company could help me get on disability. I was in the hospital and was diagnosed with a terminal condition. This was 6 months ago. They do not return my calls or ever give me updates on my situation. They get 25% of my disability dating back to when I stopped working. All they are doing is dragging this out so they can collect more money. While I'm left in debt have maxed all my credit to the limit and am unsure of how I'm gonna pay any bills in January .

This company delayed filing with our primary insurance company (*******) and tried to coerce me to release third party insurance to them so that they could receive a higher payment. I spoke to ******* about this and the hospital involved and if I need to report it elsewhere I will do that to insure that this type of deception does not happen to me again nor to anyone else.
