I lived in a Medawar rental unit for 1 year and never had an issue the whole time. They were super responsive to repairs (our dishwasher broke soon after moving in and they immediately replaced it with a brand new top of the line dishwasher). Special shout out to the repair man Frank who is such a great guy with a well rounded skillset and just great to talk to. Moved in to one of their properties this month - everything has been absolutely seamless so far. Their tenant portal is easy to navigate, organized, transparent and updated. Maintenance came out a day after I made a request (dryer hose came loose). Their employee Jesse (and Jesse’s partner I believe) was incredibly friendly and easy to work with. Know your tenant rights when working with their team!! EDIT: I want to say, in response to the Medawar owner's response, that I have not once rescheduled a maintenance entry that has been given to me with more than 24 hours' notice. I understand property managers may enter my apartment with proper notice, but I have not received that. I felt it was in my right to escalate this to the city. This is my second review for Medawar, as we sadly just stopped renting from them. We moved to California, so it was no longer an option. We absolutely loved our time renting from them, and if we are ever back in Seattle, won’t consider renting from anyone else. They’re friendly, fair, timely with even non-essential repairs, and their apartments are beautiful. I have lived in a building (currently managed by Medawar Real Estate)for 20 years. When Medawar Real Estate took over ownership of the building from the previous owner, they performed some much needed remodeling for the current apartments, and they replaced all the windows in the building. They also replaced the flooring, lights, and paint in the common hallway areas. Whenever I have needed anything fixed, Medawar always has the issue resolved within days.
