Stomach flu is hard. Thankfully, the staff at Med Express are incredibly kind. They were comforting while getting blood drawn and when my phone died while waiting for lab work to be done, one of the nurses was willing to go out to her car to get me a charger so I would have enough battery to call a ride back home. I've been going here for my health concerns since my Freshman year and they have always done me well. Thanks to all of Med Express for being the nicest team a sick college kid could hope for!
I had the worst experience of my lifetime at M.D. Express Urgent Care at the Mercury Blvd. Hampton, VA facility on Monday, December 5, 2017. My first disappointment was unbeknownst to me a "PA" was sent in the room to take care of me. I had no knowledge that I was not seeing a doctor and I was not told that I would see a PA. I would recommend my family going to this place. This place is way better than hospital visits. Your in and out of this place. It's not expensive at all as long as you have health insurance that covers your DR's visit. When you have an urgent care that needs to be taken care of. This is the place you want to be. I had to take my 3 year old daughter in on November 7 for stitches above her eye and we had the best experience. Dr Obie and nurse Jackie were absolutely amazing with my little girl as Dr Obie stitched her up. They laughed and joked with her and talked about cartoons and her favorite, Star Wars, and really helped her relax and take her mind off of what was happening. The front staff was wonderful as well. Thanks for helping us find an oral medicine to Treat our daughters UTI even after CHKD had plans to admit her for IV medicine this evening. Saved her and us a hospital admission full of IV meds and stress. Doctor on shift tonight cared so much about her that he spoke to Infectious Disease doc at CHKD and the ER. He found something as we were packed and on the way to Norfolk. I'm extremely impressed as his drive to make her his priority. He called me three times tonight.
