Our family of four went for my husband's birthday at 5:30 on a Friday evening. Scotch Egg and Lamb Flatbread apps were very good. Lamb Burger, Steak Sandwich and Rueben with garlic parmesan fries were hits as well. The Chicken Picatta lacked salt. It was very bland, even the lemon sauce. Birthday ice cream was a nice touch. Service was a little slow, but a new server was being trained so that is to be expected. By the time we left at 7:30, the place was packed and in full swing. Wow, were shocked about the Fish n' Chips, that's one of the best selling items on the menu. We rarely hear complaints about that dish. The Skatewing fish is something fairly new that we're trying, however, we will pass along the comment to the Chef. Our Caesar salad dressing does have anchovy paste in it and that could be what you were tasting. Let us know the next time you're going to be in so we can help you select some other menu items!
