my grandmother came in for shortness of breath, thankfully it wasn't anything serious. However, she is a diabetic and when they drew labs on her they. saw she had a elevated white blood cell count. the Dr called my mom and told her she had an infection somewhere. so instead of them doing a urinalysis to see if she had a UTI which diabetics are prone to have!! they sent her back home after a few days never treated her for elevated WBCs or investigating why it was high. 2 days later she was confused and didn't know what was go... read more

McLeod Cheraw is the absolute worst place you can go. Bad experience time and time again. I'd rather go to a hospital in a third world country than this uncaring shithole!

I was sent there for chest xrays because of pneumonia. The registration lady flat turned me away because she said I would have to pay $300 right then to get the xrays. I will never go to that so called hospital again. I can't say the same for Florence but Cheraw does not care about their patients.
I would not recommend anyone to seek care here, I wouldnt take a dying snake here fir treatment . They er staff was rude, uncouth and did not identify who they were. conditions were anything but sanitary. They offered no help or insight for help when you have no insurance. From the front desk, to the nurses, to the doctors. This place does not get a good review by me. it should be shut down. instead of caring compassion staff they were anything but.
cut hand and had me hold hand in sink and let warm water run over ,no sterile water was used ,used super glue ,never closed had to go back to ER 4 days later with pain and burning ,cut was open,was cleaned and wrapped and was told to see my family doctor,which was 4 days later and cut was still open ,glued again now i have awful scar that is so sore to touch,something isnt right. will never go back to cheraw,should have been stiched it is a v shape cut .. its been a month and still having problems.
sooo slow. waited 3 and a half hours. no doctor in site. im afraid if they dont see us soon ill fall asleep driving home!!
