Took my XC90 in for a routine brake job. Was not properly done, brakes so soft they went to the floor, but we were sent home with it! Took it back and were told we were looking at another $2K repair to fix it. Second opinion confirmed it was NOT the $2K issue but something far less. While we cannot prove the secondary issue was dealer fault, they cannot prove it was not, as it was fine when we dropped it off!! I had a great experience with the service department at McLaughlin Volvo in Moline, IL! It started with the woman who scheduled my appointment over the phone. She was so friendly and patient (didn’t talk to me like she was in a rush). Knowing that I’d be driving from the Iowa City area, she let me know about their waiting area with complimentary beverages and snacks. :-) Drew in service greeted me upon my arrival and checked me in.
