I had an emergency appendectomy today and I would rate it a 10/10 from a patient care perspective. Check-in, CT, nursing, and surgery were all excellent.

I cam in at 3:30 am after waiting at Henry Ford Macomb ER for 13 hours without being seen by a Dr. Was taken back, blood work, EKG, IV and spoke with a Dr. Very quickly. Staff was pleasant and helpful and efficient. Only real wait was for an ultrasound but still in, treated and out in less than half the time I was waiting at the other hospital without being seen by a Dr.

My father was brought in for excruciating back pain and his knee was buckling with each step. In 8 hours time, all they did was do xrays and a ct scan and a little something at the beginning to take the edge off on the pain. They sent him home after 8 hours and STILL in excruciating pain. They claimed he said that he wanted to go home when he actually asked WHEN was he going home. Nurse stated that as soon as lab results were in that they would decide what they were going to do. Hospitals dont get the credit they deserve. My 11 year old son decided to want to go to the emergency room at 1130pm for something that wasnt an emergency but hey he wanted to go. The staff were awesome, nice, and were caring especially because of how busy they were. No issues. Quick emergency room
