Really good food and friendly service.
I went here because I was craving chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes. I had it here last year, but the quality of food has gone down greatly! There were no noodles in the bowl of yellow gelatinous stuff that I was served. The mashed potatoes were straight up instant potato flakes. The broccoli was ok, though overdone and mushy. RecommendedThe food was delicious! My first time there and will return. Pleased with the prompt service too. Cafeteria style home cooked food and plenty of large slices of cakes, pies, desserts.
I/family have visited off/on for family meals or event gatherings since my high school/college years (ie. a long time). We've noticed recently the food is often overcooked, dry, and not fresh. For the increased price of a meal (~$15/person for entrée/side/dessert/coffee), it just does not appeal to us as it once did as a preferred quiet spot for the occasional family meal out. They have a manager named Sarah that is very rude to the customers. She needs a great deal of training in the customer service department.

I have had 1 ala cart dinner, and I have had one Mayfair’s blueplate special which is delicious with meat or fish, two sides of veggies,and a large clover roll for less than $6. The iced tea is brewed perfection. They also have large or small salads and jello and pie.
