McKendrick's do it right! – Absolutely superb food, the 8 oz. filet mignon was the best I have eaten in Atlanta, service was great, "Dee" is an unusually fine, attentive server!!!
None Better! – I've eaten Kobe beef in Tokyo, eaten at Mortons all over the US, Ruths, Sparks, S&W, Gibson's, Chop house, Hereford house, Plaza III, all very good--Morton's and Gibsons are excellent! BUT, if you want hands down THE BEST STEAK in the entire country, you will find it at McKendrick's. I grew up in the meat business--third generation butcher, have since moved on to more serious professional world. This is as good as gets, no match, not even close, anywhere. Kudos to a fine fine wonderful steakhouse!
YUMMY!! – My husband and I brought my parents here when they were visiting. We were a little disappointed that it was only 8 p.m. on a Friday night and they were already out of the salad of the day, but the steaks made up for that. Each of our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the flavor was out of this world! We had the creme brule for dessert, and that too was excellent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good steak without the snobby atmoshphere!
Love IT !! – Anything Doug does I love! I worked for him at "Sneakers" and love every venture he has or has had!!! Doug! I adore this location!!
the steak AND the sizzle – Elegant but not snooty, perfect for all foodophiles who want good service, gracious accommodations and an escape from the mundane. It is just plain old good meat and potatoes, a little pricey but the sides are big enough to share. And, for a steak place the have some great little fishes! Bon appetit and oh yea, dress well!
skewed review – Granted, I am a tad biased due to the simple fact that I am related to the owner, but I have eaten at all of the "great" steakhouse in atl and the most in the southeast. McKendrick's is one of the Southeasts great INDEPENDENT steakhouses. A much different experience than a chain, try the buffalo steaks... Had to throw in my 2 cents.
Keep it Up – Great resturant. I had a very good time at this resturant. Definately a nice place for good times with friends or family. Keep it up.
