Save yourself from problems and go with a different builder. Moved into this brand new home at October 2023 in Wilmington NC. I’ve had nothing but problems floor creaking upstairs. AC unit does not put out air in guest rooms; the contractor has come out many times and now charging me to try and get ventilation in the rooms. McKee went above and beyond three years after our purchase when some minor defects were discovered in the home selling process to make it right. Thank you.
Update: McKee contacted me and is doing there best to make these issues right! I would not recommend doing business with McKee homes. They do not do well at the basics of home building and only interface through email and hide behind their processes verses making gross quality and construction issues right. We have owned our house for less than 3 years and the inspector for the new buyers found roof trusses that are not attached to the load bearing top plate, buckling Hardee Board siding because of improper installation, and... read more
