Where do I begin? From 4 broken roof truss, gutters hung with no downspouts, terrible finish work, dry wall compound used where caulk should be, rose color shower doors that should be brushed nickel. I could go on and on. If you combined all of the above issues together,they in no way would cause the anxiety I had over stormwater issues. McKee doesn't grade their lots properly. worst Builders ever. They cant seem to get anything right on the inside they use elmers glue to glue everything Guess they cant give workers tools to nail down what shoud be nailed Inside is ALL MDF glued to the walls There people should never be allowed to build a home Dont waste your money Crappy builders who just dont care all they want is money
Closed on 3/6/2021 had nothing but problems.I Had high electric bill on 11/21 and again on 12/21 it triple the amount in 1/22 so i called electrician To come out ASP MY BILL KEEPS GOING UP.They told me to call HVAC company so i called .They said my air conditioner was broken and pulling from heat which cause my electric bill to go up its going to cost me 3,500.I need this fix and fast AND DONE RIGHT.Mckee 2 10 home buyers warranty is not wanted stand behind there word and pay to get this fix its in writing 2year major HVAC w... read more

Home owner move in date is 4/1/20. 1 year warranty workmanship expired 4/1/21 with McKee homes 2 year warranty with 2-10 Home warranty expires 4/1/22. 2 year covers only distribution ( Ductwork of AC/heat). We gladly will assist customer with proper channels in the repair of her AC unit. My family and I decided to build a home to raise our young family. We spent over $40K in upgrades to our home and our interior is already not standing up to day-to-day wear and tear. Our cabinets are made out of pressed-wood, despite having them upgraded. They are already starting to crack and peel after just one year of living in the home. We have soft-close cabinets so they are not being slammed shut. Our floor already have marks in them from dropped items. I have lived in my Mckee home for about 5 months now. In five months I have not had one single day that I didn't have some problem taking place or in process. I want to just give a few examples of what I mean. My first day of move in My clothes dryer actually caught fire!!!! The electrician didn't just not hook the reciprocal up incorrectly but didn't have it hooked up to kick out the main breaker so that the house didn't burn down. We purchased a McKee home and no one would ever come out to fix the huge mistakes in their design due to COVID. Our house is in the Oakmont neighborhood. This house has so many issues. I wish we would have bought a new home from a Quality builder instead of a fly by night Company. Our Air Conditioning does not work correctly in Master Bedroom because of poor installation. vents were closed with drywall I have one vent still open upstairs that has never been fixed. I am currently under contract for a McKee home here in Raleigh, NC. I am so confused after reading the reviews. I absolutely love the Floorplan but now second guessing if I made the right decision. Every single one of these reviews are horrible. I enjoyed Shaun the seller's agent and Ronnie at the design studio. Inger is wonderful too. I pray our experience goes well.
