After the best vet in the entire world left to have babies (at another clinic) I was desperately looking for another place that would fill her shoes. It took a few vets and two other clinics before I wound up here. I could not be more happy. The staff is nice, the vets are great and they try to do the easiest treatment possible without jumping to conclusions. We lost our dog Gracie today and I can't even put into words how wonderful dr. Green and the girls at Mchenry pet hospital. They all were very professional and down to earth. Everyone was so compassionate and truly love animals. I don't feel like it's a business, your animal is first in their eyes. I will always be thankful for Dr. Green and the staff for their hard work for trying to save my dog. If we ever decide to get another puppy we will come here. See the sweet girl in my profile picture? I brought her here for a lump the size of a quarter. Had a needle biopsy been done like I requested when I first brought her in, she'd still be with us today. It turned out to be an aggressive grade 3 MCT. After months of them telling me they couldn't do anything due to her having heartworm, I took her to Fox Lake where they were able to do the surgery. This is the best vet services we've had since Dr.Rob Garro at Dundee Animal! He moved to Quad Cities about 12 years ago.
I love this place. I'm absolutely dreading having to move soon and having to leave Dr. Green. She has been beyond a blessing when my older dog stopped having an appetite and wasn't feeling herself. She and the staff are extremely personable, always make themselves available for help or questions, and don't make you feel like they're just trying to hurry you out the door. We just took our Golden Retriever to see Doctor Green for a follow up appointment to check on his ear infection and under her care he's getting much better. She is very gentle and took the time to get to know our dog and answer any questions that we had.
They are the most unorganized animal hospiral dont keep track of records and try and charge for service twice use real caution when come here or if you love your pet stay away from here very bad service all around
