Terrible. He is rude and sarcastic. I called after hours for help and was sadly disappointed. I told him that I had gained almost 8 pounds in 3 days after colonoscopy. Nausea. Stomach bloating. He blew me off Told me that I probably have gone back to “my normal” of going several days to 2 weeks without a bowel movement. I saw him on for a couple of years, went through tests and found out I had sensitivity to a lot. I had no help of food recommendations to help my gut. I also was told to eat ONCE a day! Split my one meal up. I worked out consistently with no change, I was told to lose weight yet no help of how to get there. I have limitations of what I can eat, yet I couldn’t get help when I asked. Dr. McElreath is very thorough and caring. He has a great bedside manner and he explains things to you where you can understand and he is patient and answers your questions. I would recommend him to anyone having gastro problems.

Saw this dr about a health issue that had stumped other health professionals. He spent a lengthy time asking questions about its origin and evolution and he listened and made a diagnosis and scheduled me back for follow-up. He is very polite and respectful but direct. A very conscientious dr who truly wants to resolve your health issues and continues to work for healing.

I tried on multiple occasions to make this relationship work, but I did not feel heard when I spoke. I feel like when I questioned things, I was made to feel more of a annoyance/nuisance rather than anyone giving me answers to my questions. On several occasions, I was hung up on by Dr. MCELREATH'S staff. I also questioned billing about codes so that I could call my insurance company to understand my out of pocket costs. This man constantly makes comments about my weight and the weight of my other family member that comes here. She has a pretty normal BMI, so I guess he just hates anyone who isn't thin. It's gotten to the point of harassment during our visits. I've decided to start screen recording all of them from now on to file a complaint with the medical board.

Referred 1 month ago and they still say they are reviewing to see when I need to come in. Say it will be 1-2 days and that was over a week ago. Still no call for appointment. Will go elsewhere.

Excellent doctor and straightforward with advice based on diagnosis. My favorite aspect of him is that he’s friendly and personable. Keys to being a great physician in my book.

I recently became a patient of Dr. David McElreath. Can’t say enough about him! He takes time to listen, follows up personally, worked me into his full schedule for a colonoscopy, called me from his office on a Sunday morning to give me results and called my prescription into a pharmacy later in the morning after the pharmacy opened.He also provided a cell number so I could reach him personally If I had any worsening issues between the office visit and the colonoscopy a few days later!Amazing!
