Strange experience. I kind of felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. I noticed everyone in the lobby staring at my son and I before we even got inside. I'm not from that area so maybe it's a small town where everyone knows each other? I felt awkward though. The fries were overcooked and the darkest I've ever seen McDonald's fries in my life. They were actually brown and so was some of the lettuce on my McChicken. Overall though, the food was fine...it's McDonald's. The service was fine...it's McDonald's.
I don't go to McDonald's as much as I use to now they add extra sauces and ketchup to everything. If I want extra. I'll ask for it, which is what I do with the fish sandwich. I did stop in and ordered a fish. It was over cooked and now not served with extra sauce and old fries. If I can't count on how McDonald's builds their sandwiches I will need to walk in and try to get someone to come to the counter for a discussion on what the procedure is today and how I would like it made. Entire staff is careless teenagers with no basic customer service (not a thank you, please, have a nice day, etc). I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a large OJ. The OJ was so watered down which I could tell just by looking at it when they handed it to me and the sandwich was cold and missing the egg. If I could at least get one of my two items correct, that’s be great.
I like the food, and they are always nice, but you cant trust them to get the order right or ever give sauces. I ask every time they say its in the bag like robots, then I check to find no sauces..... every time.
Updated 6-14-26: Great service in the drive thru. Fast, friendly, and my special order was accurate! long wait in the drive thru at the McDonald's on Shawnee Rd. in Lima, OH, on Friday, April 26, 2024. According to my Google Maps app, I was in line from 7:43pm -8:06pm. Ridiculous. They must have been very understaffed because the first window, where you normally pay, wasn't open.
