Honestly, I was really happy with my build and quality of home until all my lights started going out. The LED lights that are supposed to last forever. After SEVERAL trips to Lowe’s I’ve finally figured out which lights I need, however I’ve needed to learn how to be an electrician because they didn’t install them with easy plugs to just unplug and plug back in. I have to undo all the wires, and connect them correctly, make sure everything is grounded and then hope I do it all right in the ceiling FOR TWELVE LIGHTS. If I were... read more
We built our home with McArthur Homes and have had nothing but positive experiences. We've been in our home for several years now, and if this isn't our forever home, we'd absolutely build with McArthur again. From choosing our lot and selecting design options, to receiving construction updates throughout the build, every step of the process was smooth and well organized. I love working with McArthur! They build a quality home and they're all amazing to work with. We've owned our townhome for 10 years and it still looks amazing. Quality and efficiency at a very competitive price. Way to go guys!
Update to 1 star - 5 years in and things just get worse. tl;dr Two stars because we're happy to finally be in our home and (hopefully) past dealing with McArthur; also the sales agent in our area was pleasant to work with. The negatives outweigh the positives, though, and I did not enjoy lining their pockets in gold. My advice: seriously look at other builders before deciding on McArthur.
