Dr. McAllaster is very knowledgeable, good with my kids and they love her!
I've been taking both of my girls to Dr. Claudia since they were born. She is great with the kids, takes her time when them, and knows what she is doing. I would not even consider taking my kids to another doctor in the area.
I grew up in Leavenworth and was a patient at one of the busiest practices (which still is quite "popular" to this day) in the town. Due to the way my parent and I were rushed around that office (after the longest waits) and often misdiagnosed, I knew my own children would go to a different practice. In 2010, with the birth of our first child, we chose Dr. McAllaster based on friends' recommendations. This was the BEST choice for our family. I've read other ratings and everyone has mentioned a short waiting time. Well in my case I've waited 45 mins- 1hr, just to see her. I'm new to the area and I've just started going to her due to having my son in April. Everytime i've gone in she acts like im retarded making me repeat myself. Then she got an attitude on my voicemail. I will be seeing a new family doctor. I will not be talked down to like i'm retarded.
I am one of the few Single Fathers in the area and my Son is 3. Like everyone would say about their own children - I'm going to say it now - My Son is Brilliant!!! I will give him credit first for being a wonderful child... Then I will give myself some credit for being the best Dad- Only when due! Anyone who dislikes Dr McAllaster most likely is not being a good parent. She has very high standards for behavior and lifestyle. I'm always pleased with her bedside manner and diagnostics and exams. She will be our pediatrician for as long as we live here. Oh and her nurse is so personable.
This doctor does not rush through her exams. She doesn't over schedule and is very accessible. The staff is very nice and my kids enjoy going there.
I took my son to Dr. McAllaster and found her to be rude, insensitive and arrogant. Perhaps if this woman had ever had kids, she would understand what it is like for a parent who has a sick child. Do yourself and your children a favor and pick one of the more caring and skilled pediatricians in town. Any wait in their offices will be worth it.
My mother took me to Dr. McAllaster. I have no fond memories of my trips to her. She made me feel inferior. I am an adult and mother now and I take my kids elsewhere. I never considered taking my children to Dr. McAllaster. I would never subject them to her demeaning ways.
