Located just 30 miles (48 kilometers) outside of Detroit,Maybury State Park is the perfect place to get outdoors and get back to nature. The park features over 1,000 acres (404 hectares) of rolling hills, dense mature forests, open meadows and plenty of walking and riding paths. In the winter the park serves as a cross-country skiing area, while in the spring and summer the park is mainly used for hiking, fishing, picnics and equestrian riding.

RecommendedWe love our hikes at Maybury. Especially during the Covid! Kept us out of the house.
It was run down, barley any animals, over priced. What a big disappointment
Walking/Bike trails are great for families with a playground and bathrooms right in the middle. Horseback riding is great. Looking forward to trying mountain bike trails when the kids are a little bigger.
Several trails, including equestrian, mountain biking, hiking and mixed-use trails. There are a lot of beautiful trees and flowers as well as shelters and parking space. You can bring your own horse or you can rent for trail rides.
