This is one of the best Mexican restaurants out there, I kid you not, if you don’t like Mexican food, go here and I will guarantee you that you will love it afterwards.
Very disappointed – We found this place listed in the PBS Member Card directory as one of the restaurants that will give a discount for members. The only reason we tried this one (instead of one of the zillion other Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood) was because it was advertised in the directory. Best Mexican in Lakeview/LP, Worth the extra money – Mayan Palace is an all-around great experience from the time you walk in the the door to the time you leave. The service is quick and very personal. Mayan Palace does not have the waiters that pretend they don't understand what you're saying when something goes wrong, they correct the problem and apologize. Best Mexican in Lakeview/Lincoln Park – It seems like there are an abundance of Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood. We had been to Caesar's (self-proclaimed "Home of the Killer Margarita")... but a friend recommended we come here instead. Our weekend tradition – I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mayan Palace. My boyfriend and I make a point of eating there every weekend. The food is delicious authentic Mexican and the service is amazing! (we come in so often they already know what we're going to order and how we like it) They make you feel like royalty and fall all over themselves making sure you have everything you need. best margaritas...ever – This little gem is a perfect place to spend the night with friends. The food is very good and the margaritas are incredible. I would recommend going on Tuesdays and Thursdays since all of the house margaritas are only $3.25. Also, the service is excellent and everyone is exceptionally nice. If you haven't been here yet, you need to schedule it in your near future.
Very nice little place – So far, so good on this little place (or should I say "palace"?). My girlfriend and I have only been there a couple times, and then only gotten veggie burritos and house margaritas, but that's really all we were looking for.
