RecommendedWe relocated from downtown DC and were looking for modern Mexican in RVA and were delighted with MAYA. Great ambience, service and food. Our server, the staff and the fresh food and drinks made it a terrific experience. The Watermelon Gazpacho was fabulous. We will be back and highly recommend!

As a vegan, I love the farmers vegetable enchilada with Verde sauce (ask for no cheese). However, I am disappointed that they changed the bean and rice recipe to have chicken broth over the past few weeks. It was wonderful when they made it without the chicken broth because the black beans and the cilantro type rice met both vegan and vegetarian needs. They were absolutely delicious before so I hope they will change back.... disappointed that I can’t have anymore.

The ceviche is the best around. The menu is creative and has something for everyone. Our waiter was charming. Lots of thumbs up!
Had Corn tamales with shrimp and scallops. The tamale was delicious but scallop wasn't completely cooked. Drinks were excellent. Very convenient restaurant when attending the Dominion Energy Center.
