Dr. Maxwell has been the one constant who has been with me through challenging times. I worked with her in my 30's and am much older now; however, in times of crises I have reached out to her and she has always been there for me offering a compassionate, listening ear and wise counsel. Dr. Maxwell has been working with our 12 year old son for 2 months. From the moment we met her, she has been a huge support, a great listener and overall an amazing human being. She always responds to our whereabouts and is willing to help our son in that very instant. Our family and son have benefited from weekly therapy /counseling sessions. I met Dr. Maxwell for my ADD and learning disability issues with which I struggled all my life, but over the years that I’ve seen her, she helped me so much more than just that. I suffered low self-esteem due to my conditions and always doubted myself, but she helped me see my true essence and cope with life’s challenges in my work as a public school teacher with confidence and grace. As a therapist, I have never had someone who really walked with me through some trauma and told me when to stop and let myself feel the things I pushed away, the hurt that I couldn’t deal with then and never stayed with to heal. I cannot express what an preeminent experience it was to have Dr. Maxwell in my life. She made me feel so comfortable and helped me find happiness through a very dark time in my life. I wish there were words or some way to compensate her for what she did for me.

Dr. Maxwell gave us a DETAILED assessment of our son and some of the things she said left me wondering if she had EVEN met our son. Later after we were hurried out of the office, Dr. Maxwell confirmed she had NOT ever met our son! How unethical!
