The food was good nice atmosphere, would have like to see more variety of choices
Waited an hour and ten minutes for food when the restaurant was half full. Waiter came to check on the food ten minutes after the food came to the table only to find the fish was burnt. I requested the manager come over to have a chat and he was hardly sympathetic. To top it off, he did not comp the overcooked fish and simply remade another dish because the original dish that was made was no longer available.
Wonderful evening, delicious food and the staff go above and beyond!
I have always had a good dining experience at Max's...but... Today, the appetizer arrived fairly promptly...but cold, though it was tasty (calamari)...(we did send it back). The $32 bouillabaisse was quite lackluster. The seafood was ok, but the sauce was just bland and 'meh'. The best part is that they care. The manager came over to see how we enjoyed our meal, and when we told him, he made it clear that he would speak to the chef to try to rectify it for the future, and also provided a lovely complementary fruit and desser... read more
