Always enjoy Maxie's when we are in Ithaca. Yesterday had half a dozen oysters and the Ahi Tuna with horseradish potato cake and spinach......fantastic!!! My husband had the jambalaya and couldn't finish it all. Lots of food. Very tasty, and excellent service.
Food, drinks, and ambiance were great! My husband said it was the best meal he ever had (btw, he had the shrimp an grits)
Super tasty food, great service. Portions though a bit too much for my Canadian appetite...but brought the extra home and had dinner twice. ( jambalaya!) Raw Oysters fresh and delicious. Would have got a 5...but I think too big portions is not a good thing.
We went during happy hour and had the Cape Cod Natives -- very good. For an entree I got the BBQ chicken tacos and they were EXCELLENT -- spicy, smoky, dripping with yummy sauce. The ginger krak cocktail went with it very well. Great service as always, too.
