I share this to warn others of the BUSINESS ONLY approach in this MaxHealth medical groups entity. They have let go two of their best physicians (Dr Kazmi and Dr Palacios), without warning to anyone and no notification..... which is obvious cause it seems they only want to keep the patients with disregard for the care those two physicians were delivering and hoping that this can be substituted by one physician and an ARNP In a day where the care for Medicare patients is all they care about or better said the money they get f... read more

Dr KAZMI is the best doctor in Miami
Looks like they've dropped the ball again with their answering service. It tells patients to call if they have an urgent medical issue and that the on-call doctor will call back. Imagine my surprise when I was told the on-call doctor is only available to Medicare patients. Why isn't that mentioned in your office voicemail? I still left a message asking for help, only to later receive a call saying the on-call doctor's recommendation was simply to go to the ER or urgent care. Dr. Marium Kazmi is excellent. Unfortunately Maxhealth will not, under any circumstances, issue a referral to any doctors affiliated with Baptist even though they are on your insurance list of providers. Maxhealth is owned by Humana and will only issue referrals to providers within their network. My husband had an emergency and was admitted to hospital.
