Hands down a terrible spot for kids karate! High pressure sales tactics make you commit to long term annual membership....and I'm talking about 30 min classes for 3 yr olds. In fact, after they changed their scheduling and rules for class attendance they were unapologetic and refused to let me out of contract. Classes were not good either. Too many kids, too little karate. No place to sit and elevator always broken. The greatest gym in Philly – Without a doubt, Maxercise is one of the, if the best, gym in Philadelphia. You can train with good old dumbbells and barbells if you like or if you are an advanced athlete take up kettlebells and clubbells. Or you take Brazilizian Jiu Jutsu from an elite World Champion. Also the owner, Steve Maxwell is one of the nicest guys you can meet and is very knowledgeable. Go once, you will be hooked.
