Inappropriate and unprofessional. My review is not based on a preconceived idea but rather years of therapy sessions that were disturbing, where I often spent therapy time listening and responding to Mr Joseph’s personal life issues.
After recently finishing my 10th session I have consistently found Dr. Joseph to be a very compassionate and patient doctor who actively listens and meets me where I am at; whether that be melancholy silence or playful ribbing. He is greatly flexible with patients regarding scheduling, payment methods, and communication methods which is extremely valuable to individuals like myself that experience much brain fog. Inappropriate and unprofessional
Maury is a valued colleague and caring person, who puts a lot of thought into how he listens to his clients. I don't know why someone would leave him a bad review solely due to his style not matching up to a preconceived idea.
My experience with Maury Joseph's practice was traumatizing and averse to the goals I have in therapy. I have never had a therapist talk about themselves as much as Maury did during the time that I paid for. Is your therapist supposed to call you at 4 in the morning from the stairwell of their building to beg you to feel better? Are they supposed to tell you that, when you expressed doubts about your ability to succeed in therapy with them, they were so upset they missed two exits driving home from their daughters birthday p... read more
