I was treated by Dr. Aiken here in Maryland, where he performed surgery on my right foot. You will never find a more warm, caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable surgeon anywhere! While there are others that are quick to place profits before their patients, Dr. Aiken is quick to rule out any unnecessary procedures, and find other solutions to resolve and provide his patients the best of care. Thank you Dr. Aiken for your exceptional service, and God bless you always!

Extremely caring physician who takes the time to listen and explain. I had been treated by a podiatrist in another office... and 2 ortho foot surgeons with all the traditional, non-surgical treatments for tendinitis/ligament issues. Nothing worked. Dr. Aiken suggested trying 6 session laser treatments and by treatment #4 my foot was so much better! I was able to start walking without pain! He also custom made my orthotics. I highly recommend Dr. Aiken!
Dr. Aiken is a kind, knowledgeable man. He listened to me with great concern about my foot problems. He fitted me with orthotics and they have helped me a good deal. I no longer have knee pain and my gait is a lot better. He has a great bedside manner and that is extremely important to patients. I highly recommend him. His staff is great, too!
After a year of being in pain after having surgery on my Achilles' tendon, I was told about Dr Aiken and what's great work he does. Finally after two months and the excellent treatment program he put me on, I am pain free. Highly recommended
I had a serious case of plantar fasciitis. I had not been able to walk for three months and was using a knee roller. I had been to an orthopedist with no success. Then I went to Dr. Aiken. He spent a lot of time with me. He explained my condition, he explained WHY I have my condition, and why the course of treatment is effective. He was very thorough and was patient when I needed clarification on something. He prescribed a non-invasive course of treatment. No surgery, no procedures.

I finally did it! After years of putting off taking care of my bunion, I did it. DR. Aikens performed the surgery and I knew was in good care. Why? From the initial first visit DR Atkin took his time, understood how I was feeling and assured me with facts, x-rays and a gave me a solution that took my cares away. DR. He has a horrible bedside manner. His staff were rude. I do not recommend wasting your time being seen by him.

This accusation is untrue. Every staff member has been employed at this practice a minimum of 16 years and the office manager has been here for 30 years. NO staff member is rude to any patient. Biggest mistake ever! My toe is paralyzed and in constant discomfort. Dr. Aiken said it would be easy. I cannot walk properly and would.never recommend him. He was nice and that is not enough. With the most simple procedures, there are inherent risks. I set aside an entire appointment to educate each and every surgical patient on these risks and go over informed consent. Diagrams are used to ensure this understanding. But not all risks can be easily predicted. As surgeons we do all that we can to mitigate risks, but suboptimal outcomes can occur. I am not happy when my patients are not happy, however, thankfully, 99.5 percent of them do very well and are pleased with their results.
