Mattisons itself is a great place in downtown Sarasota great food good atmosphere. Have benn coming here for many years; however I have yet to be served (or not served and ignored) by a bartender there. You hate to go to the bar because they try not to wait on You and they are rude when they do! Not sure why this is s problem for them they need friendly smiling bartenders .

We went a month ago. The hostess told us we had to be done by a certain time because of a reservation. That made us nervous and then the apps came before our cocktails. More concerned. But the food was excellent and the atmosphere great.
Great food and drinks! I had the spare rib sliders which were amazing. Our waitress was also amazing!
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and we were very happy we did. The food was very tasty and our server was very friendly and right on top of things. He checked on us often made sure our drinks were always full. I will definitely return.
Very comfortable setting. Drinks were a bit light but i will definitely return.
