My kids have been going to this dentist since my son was 5 years old. He is now 13 and my daughter is 11. Dr Richard Matthews was and still is the most caring dentist we've met. He understood my son's gagging reflex and fear of going to the dentist. Dr Matthews explained to the kids on what he was going to do to them during their visits. My kids have enjoyed going to the dentist. His bedside manner has not changed since I've been going to his office 7 years. Thank you, Dr Matthews! See you in March.
I too agree with the comment concerning Dr. Matthews' lack of patience dealing with children. My son had seen this dentist several times, but his last visit concerned me a lot and really opened my eyes to realize that this guy should definitely not be performing procedures on kids. He was very rude when my son displayed some nervousness about having a new procedure done (temp tooth). He was rough and callous in his technique and temperament.
