Fresh, local produce and meats, cheeses, breads. A curated market filled with people who become friends. A real community and a treasure. You can find more selection and lower prices at other markets. Because produce is local only - therefore only seasonal - the variety ebbs between seasons. Because it's a community market, the vendors (and community) "hold space" when a vendor experiences loss - like when one of the flower vendors' husband died. Very knowledgeable and friendly vendors and feels like a wonderful community who all know each other! We had a blast with the family walking around looking at the offerings. Bread, meat and eggs, fresh flowers, honey and seasonal vegetables. Seems some what overpriced for what we bought but all produce is farmed within 50 miles of Matthews so I love being able to support the small, local business. Recommend getting there early as the good stuff goes quick!
