This will be the third surgeon. I’ve seen in two years for issues with both shoulders.Dr.Pifer has very good reviews , but the only reason it chose to go to him this time is he worked on somebody I know personally. Dr. Pifer did my ACL replacement, and it could not have gone better. My recovery was rapid, and I give credit to his use of some newer techniques (PRP and stem cell). His manner is excellent, and I felt safe and cared for.
I delayed dealing with the pain in my right shoulder for five years. I finally researched doctors and selected Dr. Pifer for a total reverse shoulder replacement. (Lucky choice). I was back playing golf in 90 days. I was impressed that Dr. Pifer ordered and reviewed shoulder x-rays on each of my 3 follow-up doctor visits. Happy results from an excellent doctor. No need for delay.

Dr. Pifer is a wonderful doctor. I can't say enough about him, and I can't thank him enough, and his staff. He did an extensive shoulder surgery for me 3 months ago and I am doing great! As far as I am concerned, he is the #1 doctor to go to for shoulder surgery in Santa Barbara!
Super chill guy and really helpful
It's been a bumpy couple of years starting with a fall from a ladder, when Dr.Pifer found a tumor, coordinated with a top surgeon at UCLA that removed it, followed by (his) surgeries on a severed achilles, and rotator cuff. All went perfectly. Great guy, great staff.
I had a shoulder surgery performed by Dr Pifer. Before the surgery he explained the procedure in detail to me. The surgery went really well and my recovery was quite fast. My shoulder started to feel better soon after. I can now play tennis without feeling pain in my shoulder. Dr Pifer did a great job.
I've had 3 appointments with Dr. Pifer so far and I've been totally impressed with his professionalism and his patient interaction. He is really interested in the patients' well being and he takes the time to get to know his patients. I had two hip injections by Dr. Pifer and he does a fantastic job of explaining his entire process during the procedure so that the patient feels at ease with what's being done. I feel very comfortable being under his care.
