I was a client of Matt Lemas for 5 years. The first few years were fine. The last two were disorganized as he transitioned out of an office setting and everything online and over the phone. This past year was completely unacceptable. We (my husband and I) submitted all of our tax documents on March 27th, plenty of time to file before the deadline for our scheduled appointment. I would strongly caution anyone considering this business. I was a client for several years and waited over two years before writing this review. Unfortunately, the experience remains unacceptable. Despite being a long-term client, communication was extremely poor. It was very difficult to reach anyone, and I was never given clear confirmation about my appointment or whether my taxes would actually be prepared. I would never recommend this CPA. He filed an extension for us and promised everything would be done on time, but once the deadline got close, he completely stopped responding. We tried calling and messaging many times, and he never answered. Now the extension period has passed, and we’re left stressed and unfiled. This feels like a total scam — very unprofessional and dishonest behavior. Be careful before trusting them with your taxes.

Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. Ryan (an associate or a secretary) has no issue with wasting your time. Aside from the fact that he has zero communication skills, believe (and heed) the consistent slew of 1-star reviews for this firm.
