I have been seeing Dr. Hansen for some years now dealing with Plantar Fasciitis in both feet. He started me physical therapy, cortisone injections, icing and nothing seemed to relieve the pain and swelling that I was experiencing. I went to see Dr. Hansen for pain in my ankle when I walk. Turned out to be arthritis in my big toe traveling up across the top of my foot into my lower ankle. Also, I suffered from hammer toe in both pinky toes. I found Dr. Hansen to be very personable and he explained everything in detail. Ended up having surgery in his office for the hammer toes, which turned out great! Staff is professional and helping filling out forms. Dr. Hansen explained everything wrong with my ankle and recommended proper care I needed to take care of. He is my hero. My ankle has not felt this well in 6 months. Thanks Dr Matthew Henson

I needed a bunionectomy, and I heard that Great Lakes Foot & Ankle were a good outfit. I didn't know what to expect, but Dr. Hansen is very nice, and things couldn't have gone smoother. Right from the start, he explained the procedure, so I felt prepared on the day of the surgery. I've been a patient of Dr. Hansen's for the past 5-6 years now, and refuse to go anywhere else for my care/treatment! I've undergone 2 surgeries with him and have nothing but positive results. Pre and post surgical appointments are scheduled properly and the surgical experience has been nothing but great. He definitely advocates for his patients and provides them with plenty of education to assist them in making informed decisions.

I have been going to Dr. Hansen forever. He has removed 2 of my toenails, a wart, a bunion, and the hardware from my bunion surgery. He is very smart and makes sure you know exactly what the procedure is. My bunion surgery was my first surgery, I am 17, and I was not nervous at all, I knew exactly what was happening for my surgery and recovery and felt very comfortable with Dr. Hansen as my surgeon. 10/10 recommend anyone with a foot problem to go to Dr. Hansen.
