Dr.Hanson is an excellent surgeon, who truly cares. He is very through in explaining your diagnosis and the treatment options that are available to you. He answers questions completely and makes sure your comfortable with and understand your treatment plan. When it comes to surgery he truly is one of the best. I had very little pain with my surgeries, very little scaring because of the way he sutures. and all of my toes are now straight and I can walk, run and wear shoes again with no pain!
I first me Dr. Hansen more than 8 years ago. He performed at toe joint implant (replacement) at that time. The surgery was success allowing me to have full range of motion with the toe/foot. I walk 4-5 miles a day and the joint replacement is still in top shape. I see Dr. Hansen now occasionally and am grateful for his competent care. I highly recommend him for any podiatry service. He's so pleasant....just a great guy!

There is no doubt that he cares for his patients. I’ve been going to him for about 10 years and he has always fixed my problems. He takes the time to explain what is going on and makes sure you understand what needs to be done to fix it.
I called on a Friday morning, was seen in the afternoon and walking like normal upon leaving the office after a short exam, x-rays, diagnosis, and treatment (cortisone shots) to my big toe. Low waiting times, attentive service and expertise. Wish all medical issues could be resolve as quickly/simply.

I had been suffering from ingrown toenail pain on the big toe of each foot for years. I went to Dr Hansen and he did a procedure on each toenail in his office. The toenails were not removed entirely. After a short healing process, I can now wear shoes without any pain at all. I highly recommend Dr Hansen for this procedure. Dr Hansen is very friendly and easy to talk to.
Would recommend Dr. Hansen and already have. Very thoughtful doctor! Scheduled me the same day even as a new "walk-in" patient. I had incredible pain in my left big toe. I was unable to walk for any extended time and unable to hike. I made an appointment at Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Institute. Docter Hansen and staff were very friendly and proffessional. I received two cortisone injections and now am able to walk with no pain and to hike again! I recommend Dr. Hansen and staff.
