Dr. Buchanan is a spectacular surgeon and I could not recommend him enough. I arrived with an ankle fracture and a ruptured ligament that required surgical repair. Within two months of my operation, I was wakeboarding without pain. At three months post-op, I was able to hike and walk 10 miles a day for two weeks in Southeast Asia. From day one, he was straightforward about what to expect and confident I'd make a full recovery, keeping me at ease through the whole process.
I am a women’s tackle football player who plays for the DC Divas. Last season, I broke my fibula and was told by multiple medical professionals that I needed surgery to stabilize my ankle. When visiting with Dr. Buchanan, he told me I did not need surgery, that my ankle was stable, and my recovery would be a lot shorter. Excellent doctor
As a physical therapist, I probably view orthopedic care through a somewhat different lens than the average patient. Having now experienced Dr. Buchanon’s care as a patient myself, I have been extremely impressed with his comprehensive approach.
