After a malignant tumor was found in my colon during a routine colonoscopy my head was spinning with questions and concerns. My first visit with Dr. Albert relieved many of my fears. He was very reassuring, answered my many questions, and explained exactly what he could do to help me. The robot assisted laparoscopic procedure to remove most of my ascending colon went very smoothly. He managed to remove all cancerous portions and no further treatment was necessary.
I am very thankful for Dr. Albert. After having an emergency colostomy, it was such a blessing to have an expert like him to do my reversal. He provided professional, compassionate care and prepared me for surgery and recovery. It was such a comfort to know I was in good hands - especially in light of the fact that my colostomy was the result of my colon being perforated by a Lake County doctor during a routine colonoscopy. He was a champ! The accessibility of the staff has been wonderful!
Scheduling is a nightmare. First available appt for colonoscopy and hemorrhoid was 3 months away. One week before my appt, got a call that dr was going on vacation and I needed to reschedule - now 4 months since original appt. Realized wife had medical procedure that day and called to reschedule. Kayla never returns calls. I've called 3 times, been waiting one week, and not been able to reschedule. Dr seemed ok, but didn't spend much time with him yet. Spent more time with nurse and other dr.
I'll just begin by saying that Dr. Albert saved my life! I have severe Crohn's Disease and had been sick for 8 months. I went to 5 different hospitals, even traveled to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, not one doctor knew how to fix me. At that time I no longer was able to eat food and was on IV nutrition. Down to 98 lbs from a normal 135. The day of my consult, Dr. Albert got me in right away for my surgery that following week. Eating no longer is painful and I'm alive!!! Thank you Dr. Albert!
He is on time, no waiting which is absolutely outstanding. He has a great sense of humor and he is extremely likable. His bedside manor is great and so is his staff. I believe he is a surgeon that wouldn't do surgery unless absolutely necessary unlike others and that is very much appreciated. I am going to schedule a colonoscopy soon with him instead of my other doctor. I highly recommend him.
Thank you Dr Albert. I personally asked for you to do my surgery last year and you did a great job! No complications! You are kind And companionate and I could have asked for a better surgeon to do my surgery!
