Dr. Metz is the best surgeon I have ever met. As a nurse I have encountered many Surgeons in my time, and hands down Dr. Metz is the most, professional, caring, and responsible. His enthusiasm shines, he is wonderful at explaining procedures, and has the patients best interests at the forefront of his practice. Great at communicating, talented Dr, and also enthusiastic to help people!
I had gastric sleeve surgery and am very happy with the outcome. The team leading up to surgery was great and supportive. But once surgery was done and I met my goal there were issues. The office nutritionist is particularly difficult to get in contact with. It has been weeks between email or phone call and any answer. This surgery requires lifetime support and back up and I have had to go find that on my own. In the end I felt like a number rather than a having a valued partner in my healthcare.

Dr Metz placed a ballon and I almost died!! He said he could credit my money back and pretended to care until he found out I would live he never spoke to me again, refused my calls and emails!’ He would not take responsibility and would not keep his word!! Do not see him!!! It’s not worth risking your life. I stopped breathing and was in a coma for 2 weeks on a ventilator!!! He pretended to care until he dident!!
Best surgeon hands down. Knows his stuff, he’s motivating and has amazing bedside manner!
Dr. Metz preformed a balloon procedure on me and I almost died. They let me go from the hospital when my blood pressure was sky high. I ended up having a perforation, pneumonia and sepsis. I ended up in the emergency room. At first he was very kind he told my whole family that he was worried about me that I wouldn’t have to pay that he was sorry. I am 4 years out from my gastric sleeve. Dr. Metz is just as approachable and concerned today as he was when I walked into his office in 2015. I believe he saved my life. Since my surgery I am a happy, healthy world traveler. I have been a nurse for 40 years and I have known many physicians. Dr. Metz is one of the most skillful and caring doctors/surgeons have ever known.
Dr Matthew metz is super nice and friendly also his staff are friendly firt time I seen dr Matthew Metz he talked to me and explained everything in simple ways so I understood him and his staff were fast friendly and getting paperwork done and making sure I knew what to do and explained the paperwork to me
Dr. Metz changed my life with the gastric sleeve. He is so down to earth, personable and funny. Definitely not a normal personality when you think of a surgeon. He wildly exceeded my expectations and I never felt like a patient, just a friend. 10/10 would recommend
