Not the original, but very good If you have time for a full sit-down restaurant, I recommend sticking with the original Matta's on Main. If you want a more casual atmosphere, however, and need it to be quicker, this is a great alternative. You order at a counter and then find yourself a seat. The food is still delicious if not quite as good as the Matta's on Main. It is cheaper, though. PROS: Cheaper and faster than original Matta's CONS: Food isn't quite as good but still good
Traditional Mexican I miss the old Mattas on Main Street, as I grew up going there with my family, but the fast-food version lets me keep eating my old favorites. I believe it is the only restuarant in town that puts beef in their chili rellenos, rather than just cheese. They are worth any amount of money, but the prices are great.
The BEST Mexican food in AZ Mattas has my vote for best mexican food in AZ! The prices are fantastic, and the food is unbeatable. The shreded beef chimichangas are my favorite they are made to perfection. The atmosphere is very relaxed and family friendly, the staff is awesome! Glad they are still here Although I miss the original Matta's, I am glad we still have the grill. It is fairly small and gets rather busy, but the food is good and so is the service.
