DR Kirkland saved my life back in 2021. He was the most caring and straight forward doctor. I had a gastric bypass in Hasensack NJ. They never checked to make sure I had no leaks in my intestines. Basically I would have died. He was a guardian angel who took care of me. From NEPA

While he appears very confident about his knowledge and abilities in surgical interventions, it is merely just a facade. My experience with Dr. Matt Kirkland has been absolutely horrible, and he takes zero accountability for the complications caused by his inability to admit he was not competent in the area requiring medical attention. Now, I have to completely get the surgery over again while still recovering from his original procedure. I had bariatric surgery 20 years ago. Surgery was performed by Matt Kirkland who I thought at the time was an excellent surgeon and knew what he was doing. However, last week I almost lost my life because he did my surgery incorrectly. My bowels was rapped around a hernia. Which caused my bowels to loss oxygen and almost collapse. I recently had a procedure done by him . It was not successful. After he told me that my prior history didn’t matter when it did . He did not use his best judgement. I’m so upset and disappointed. I just don’t understand how I’m in so much pain and I didn’t get anything done !
