I have been a patient at Northern NJ allergist for a couple years. Dr. Varhgese and his staff are amazing. Dr.Varhgese, the PA and nurses are always available to listen and care for any concerns I have. I called and the nurse was very patient, answered all my questions and got back to me shortly with Dr. Varghese advice. I went in for an appointment today. Once again I was not disappointed. I have been coming to see Dr Varghese for the past 5 years. My allergies have improved tremendously and since I have been getting Xolair I no longer have hives. Dr Varghese is still open during COVID-19 and I was able to get my Xolair shot during this time. Everything in the office was very clean and safe! Thank you doctor Varghese!

I usually don't leave reviews and have been happy being a patient here for 5 years but recently noticed a review about the doctor, his PA's and the practice. So I wanted to share my experience with getting the patch test done. I was already a patient there for allergies and on shots. My skin kept on breaking out so I talked about it with the PA. Great visit. Clean spacious offices and rooms. I was able to access all my health care electronically which I love since I am a total computer geek. I like their infrastructure. He actually asks me IT questions and we have long discussions about the old days of qbasic and turbo pascal. Nice down to earth guy actually. Long overdue review. I really like him but his PAs are very knowledgeable & nice and are usually able to grab him if I want to ask him something personally.
I had really bad hives that would not go away. He ran the basic skin tests and checked if there were any air allergens since I also have seasonal allergies. They did a blood test and it was normal. I did not understand still and felt something was causing my hives. He then went over a series of papers, spent his time and showed me data that my hives were spontaneous or idiopathic. I’ve gone to this facility in both Bergenfield and North Bergen about 5+ times. I made the decision to no longer be seen or treated her. I’ve been very frustrated but kept giving the facility the benefit of doubt. I’ve seen Dr. Varghese only ONCE. Each visit I was seen by the PA I was never given a clear answer. The staff (PA’s) would walked in pretty much confused and unsure for my visit and wouldn’t know the answers to any questions I had. Dr. Varghese may be knowledgeable in his field, but he lacks bedside manners. Due to the fact that I was in pain, I expected him to slowly scope my nose. Perhaps if I am able to tolerate the beginning, then I would obviously allow him to go deeper into my sinuses. I've been going to him for over 3 years and his office is very accomodating. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend him.
