I felt like they had three motivations: 1) to scare the crap out of me with all the possible catastrophes that could happen, no matter how small a chance, 2) to push as many tests and ultrasounds on me that they could get possible insurance compensation for and 3) they were pushing me towards the decision to terminate if anything was wrong even before the results came in, nevermind that these tests don't have 100% accuracy.
