This is one of the best steakhouses I have experienced. The food was excellent, the service attentive and the overall experience was worthy of special event status. It is high end so expect to spend at least $100 dollars per person minimum. The cocktails were very good and they are large pours. Our martinis were shaken table side and filled the glasses almost twice @ $19.50. The butter cake dessert was awesome.

The ambiance is great but the food is far from it. When your pay $40 to $50 for a piece of steak, you'd expect it to be near perfectly cooked. Well, I asked for medium rare, leaning towards rare and I get a medium one. The quality of the meat was good, but certainly not exceptional. I have to say your average Black Angus or Hunter Steakhouse is far superior and way less expensive. Save your money.

I would not recommend this restaurant. VERY overpriced, (mash potato with lobster side for 28.00 and 30.00 PER PERSON appetizer!) Noisy tables (didn't see a single booth) had to send back a 40.00 piece of filet that was full of fat, waited 20 minutes for next one that was undercooked. Piano music was nice until he tried to do a horrible imitation of Michael Jackson and the guy rubbing up to two wiggling girls on the dance floor during our meal. Not the type of thing you want to see at a fine dining restaurant. Go to Ruth's C... read more

Drinks, Appetizers, Steaks are exceptional. Loved eating at the piano bar, by far the most entertaining dining in TO!

If your someone that thinks great steak is down at the local Sizzler then don't bother reading the rest of this review. Mastro's is a serious steakhouse for the serious diner and you better bring your American Express Card and not leave home without it. If you understand the value to a what might be the best meal of your life, its well worth the money. The food is anything but expensive but in the end, you will be more satisfied than you ever expected. And lets face it, if you want what could be the best overall steakhouse e... read more
