Specialties Massa's Seafood Grill prepares Fresh Gulf Coast seafood. History Established in 1999. Tony Massa opened Massa's Oyster House in downtown Houston at Capital and Louisiana Street in 1944. Along with Louis Massa they built up the restaurant and gained national recognition when the restaurant moved to 802 Rusk in the early 1960's. Came here in a group of 5. We had one appetizer, one salad and three mains. The portion was good as it was not overloaded. The appetizer was ok, though the crab meat was not very fresh. The salad was very good, with the sweetness coming from the fruits and the sauce giving it some sourness. The mains, we had trout, the ribeye and the red fish. Food was actively awful... really. Wasted a lot of money on a large carryout order as food was so bad-tasting, everything was inedible and simply threw everything away. Be forewarned.
