The woman who performed my massage talked through the entire session. She was completely unprofessional. Among other things, she asked me if my children have the same father and she talked about her “gross” toe. When the massage was over and I walked out of the room, she was waiting with water but she was also eating. Could she not wait a couple more minutes until I left? Wow unfortunately I cannot review my massage. I will never set foot in Massage Envy (any location) ever again after the way I was treated today. I had to cancel my appointment, and was told my card would be charged anyway. Even though I WAS NOT TOLD about a cancellation charge policy. WTF? I told the person I talked to that I was not told about this policy on the phone just a few hours before, and apparently she did not care. This was my first visit at ME location. I was in dire need of a massage, last one I had was about ten years ago. I was greeted by Ariel. She was nice, and listened to what I had to say. She had asked me a few time if the pressure was ok. Wow, I could barley speak. I was so relaxed I think I may have been sleeping. :) I will be back, and if Ariel is there she is the one I'll see. I have always found the staff to be competent - some more than others, of course - WHEN I have been able to make an appointment. Unfortunately it seems that the East Vancouver store is suffering from their own success - or they simply don't have the capacity for the local demand. Reservations must be made over a week in advance typically - which is OK for some but does not work for me. Also, they do not retain a back-up person in the event that your masseuse calls in sick.
