I don't know if this guy is a good psychiatrist because he no showed his appointment with me. Good thing I'm not seeing him because of my desire to hurt myself or someone else. Just Depression....thanks Doc, now I'm really depressed. Completely disrespectful to not only no show an appointment but not respond to your office either when they are trying to message you. Next available appointment is 5 weeks from now. So after waiting 8 weeks for an appointment and sitting on hold for 1 hour, the only solution is to wait another ... read more

A wonderful doctor and good friend. Very dedicated and up to date on meds, etc. For well over 30 yrs he has helped me continusly with mental health issues, situational issues, severe depression and Bipolar. I simply cannot say enough good things about him, but if you need to see the best for the best treatment and a caring and comforting doctor, this is where you go!

Someone else pointed this out too, you have to arrive an hour before your appointment for paperwork. Paperwork does not take an hour and they don’t have the option to print it from their site (don’t even have a website). Called multiple times and had to leave a message to get a call back. The receptionist was rude, did not ask my time or doctor preference. Just scheduled me with her choice of doctor.

Dr. Mascarahas is soft spoken yet asked very direct questions. I am very comfortable with him. He is the first Pych that has actually listened to me and help me to make some very positive changes in my life. I am on my 21st TMS treatment. Going into this I was very very skeptical. It is a commitment but it has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. I still take meds but my anxiety and depression has improved by more then 75% . Over the Doctor and staff having treated me with respec.

For those who have serious mental health issues such as severe depression or self harm, I would not recommend this doctor. It took days of me calling and leaving messages before anyone from his office responded. Then, I was notified he would not see me because I have self harmed. He shouldn't be a psychiatrist if he doesn't want to help those who really need it.

Unpleasant experience. I was asked to be at the doctor 1 hour before for paperwork, but unfortunately due to meetings and traffic due to an accident I got there 25 minutes before the appointment after driving 30 minutes to get there. The front desk woman was rude, which for me being rude in a psychiatrist is like going to a restaurant with unpleasant restroom smell all over the place, and finally told me the doctor could not see me. “Do you want to reschedule”, she asked. My answer: DON´T EVEN B

I have been seeing Dr. Mascarenhas for 6 months and he has been wonderful. He asks a lot of questions, remembers things we have talked about before and is always calm and genuinely concerned. Unlike other psychiatrists I've seen who try to keep me on meds that don't work or have horrible side effects, he actually listens to my concerns and needs regarding medication and suggests things that are best for me. I was even having a crisis one day and he worked me in to his busy schedule. He is great.

One of the most kind and caring doctors I've ever met. His gentle manner is a breath of fresh air for people who are suffering from emotional distress. He genuinely wants to help and has the patient's best interest at heart.
