Awful! Just this week, I suffered through the most agonizing experience I've EVER had at ANY medical facility, EVER - both doctors (Dr. Cheeman and Dr. Robert Fines), charge nurse (Kelly), and administrative staff (all, but Nadine for sure)! It's ok for the doctor's, nurses and even the patient advocates to make you feel unsafe and disrespect you, but you will be banned from MWH's land and buildings if they dare perceive that you have disrespected or made one of their staff feel uncomfortable. Go to ANY other emergency room but this one. I'm new to Fredericksburg and miss our hospitals badly. This hospital is run worse than the local hamburger stand. Except the employees are kinder at a hamburger stand.
Beware of Dr. Benjamin Watkins, DO, in the ER. He is aggressive and hostile to family members who are advocating in the best interest of their loved ones entrusted to his care. He will verbally assault and threaten you if you ask a question, make a request, anything, He slams doors and makes a huge scene, causing additional distress to patients already in critical situations. Goodness, never have I ever experienced such flippant and rude treatment by the front desk ladies at Fredericksburg Women's Health Associates. It was a shock to be treated so poorly. I was placed on hold off and on for over 35 minutes for a simple prescription update. This happened yesterday and I guess it wasn't how long they had left me on hold as much as it was their sloppy handling throughout the call.
