Suesan O'Connor has done a wonderful job continuing to guide me in a life saving practice. Staff is great from the check in to the available appointments. Keep up the great work.
She is absolutely the best Lipidologist and the only one in Mobile Al. I do hate that she is retiring. She's an expert . Her assistant is taking care of her patients after she retires. Everyone should have a Lipidologist to check them out every 4-6months .
What I appreciate most about Dr. Honkanen is that she uses science (*gasp*) before developing a treatment plan. She diligently works to understand how an individual's body chemistry is working for them, or against them in some cases, before prescribing medication As some of the negative Google reviews point out, you should ONLY see Dr. Honkanen if you're willing to let the science do the talking.
Dr. Honkanan was so kind and confident that she gave me hope. With the genetics on both sides, I felt like I was in my last years. With a low-fat, controlled sugar diet and aggressive fish oil supplements, as I am allergic to statins, she had an alternate plan for me. Now she’s appealing to the insurances to cover one of the medicines which is now costing me.$75 a month on a discount pharmacy card. I could not be happier with a doctor.!
I have been a patient of Dr. Honkanen for 16 years. I was lucky enough to be referred to her. As a professional she is at the top of her game. She is the reason I'm still her to play with my grandkids. If I fall off the medication band wagon and life style she has prescribed; not only does she know it from my blood work but I know it health wise.
