Seeing Dr. Mary Theodore has been such a positive experience. She's warm, easy to talk to, and takes the time to really understand what's going on before she makes any recommendations. I never feel rushed, even when I show up with a list of questions, and I always leave feeling respected and involved in my own care. If you're looking for a thoughtful, attentive psychiatrist in Portland, Oregon, I can't recommend Dr. Theodore enough.
Dr Theodore has been a god send. I’ve seen so many different psychiatrists, never received much help, relief, or diagnosis from my symptoms. Dr Theodore has provided me with a diagnosis, and meds that have been absolutely life changing. She’s significantly improved my life, would recommend seeing her.
I have been seeing Dr T. for over 10 years now. It's been so long now but I remember that she was able to diagnose and treat my depression quickly, I had been through quite a few psychiatrists before Dr T. But she is more than just a psychiatrist, she has helped talk me through numerous difficult situations by really listening to the issues and situations that I've been in over the years. Dr. Theodore was very, very prompt at responding to text messages. She had suggested a very good cocktail of medications for me. In each of our weekly sessions, she worked directly on the issue and kept my attention focused on giving her the update on how the meds were affecting me. Mary helped me get through a very difficult time in my life, and I am very grateful. I've seen many psychiatrists in the past, but nothing they did ever helped. She selected a few medications that brought me back from dangerous levels of depression. Now my mood is much better. Highly recommend!
